The Hairy Bikers show you how to make a creamy cup of hot chocolate, perfect for a cold winter’s day.

- 1 vanilla pod, split and seeds scraped out
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 litre / 1.5 pints milk
- 150g / 5.5oz plain chocolate
- sugar, to taste
- freshly grated nutmeg, for dusting
Add the vanilla pod and seeds together with the cinnamon stick to the milk. Place in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Break the chocolate into pieces, then add to the milk and allow to melt, stirring constantly.
Whisk the milk vigorously to give a good froth. Add a little sugar and a dusting of nutmeg.
