With the country in the throes of the recession, double-dip in to the world affordable gourmet cooking with Si & Dave in their brand new series – Hairy Bikers Everyday Gourmets.

There are foodie family feasts, delicious dinner party dishes and luxurious lunches on the menu. Importantly, though, everything the Bikers cook will feel like a treat but won't break the bank.

"Gourmet food is a feast on the eyes and the appetite,” Si & Dave explain.

“We are creating mouth-watering recipes without blowing the weekly budget. You don't need to be minted or a Michelin starred chef to make great food.

“We find out which ingredients are worth spending that little extra cash on and when it's worth going for a bargain, taking tips from some of the country's best chefs and putting all that we learnt to the test for people who really deserve a treat.

“Join us on our quest to show how you can cook dishes of exceptional flavour for next to nothing- the art of making every day gourmet.”

See the Bikers brew their budget-busting delights in the home, garden and on the road. They’ll also uncover frugal lessons from history, learn money-saving tricks from the restaurant trade, and discover a wealth of affordable feasts which will please even the thriftiest of cooks.

The Hairy Bikers Everyday Gourmets starts Wednesday 30th January at 8pm on BBC Two, and runs for six weeks.

Ideally I am looking for a cook book of yours that includes the last couple of shows i've watched. eg...the bacon/egg/ lasagna, meat pie...the take aways. hope you can help.
    Regards
    Babs Wirkus.

  • Have Si and Dsve put weight on?

  • just watched your beer to food matching with some "expert" who failed to pick one craft British real ale of which there are hundreds far better than the fizzy bottled stuff picked out.

  • Loved the idea of beers paired with food ....but not a British beer mentioned. Shame!

  • Disapointed that hairy bikers endorse beer 'guru' who was advocating american beers when UK has hundreds of independant brewers (ie Society of Independent Brewers having 600+ members) & you could have many different Brtish beers that would match most foods.

  • Totally enjoyed the show tonight, can't wait until next week.

  • Hi
I love this programme and have most of the Hairy Bikers book.s I had a go at making the butternut ravioli from last weeks programme. The filling was fab but the pasta was like card board - I had to throw it away! Not sure where I went wrong but I would love to make a great pasta.
