  • Love your honest Northern approach to really good food!something I have missed in 30yrs in the Netherlands where even smelling food cooking was a rarity. Now I have the joy and pleasure of living in the Algarve surrounded by people like my father who grow food, take it out of the ground or out of the sea,or watch it grow fat in the farmyard! This is the "unsung"coast for foodies.I can buy all the fresh ingredients I want, was going to make your Duck recipe from Jan but can't find it?So I guess its wonderful fish from Lagos market!!!keep flying the flag for the North you are a delight to an ex-pat Northerner from Southport JennyB

  • I think bariani made with "BEEF" is a bit of an error. Isn't the cow sacred?

    • Only sacred to those of hindu birth and belief.

  • Just watched 'sweet indulgence' on i player. I was absolutely blown away by the very nice man who made the old fashioned ice cream etc using the traditional moulds. Can you please tell me if there is any way to contact him? I would love to find out if there are any courses that I could do in this type of thing. Have only recently started making ice cream and sorbets in work using a small ice cream maker, but would love to do something really special for the summer revellers. I also can't wait to try your pecan cheesecake. Great show. Thank you.
    Kind regards
    Gill
