The Hairy ones spent an enjoyable weekend at the Herefordshire Food and Drink Festival. By the sounds of it thousands of people had a great time meeting Si and Dave and enjoying the festival. Not only have we got the Hairy Bikers Christmas Special to look forward to but a brand new series has just been commissioned by BBC2 to be shown in the Spring of 2009. The Hairy Bikers Food Map of Britain (working title) will follow Si and Dave on a tour of the British Isles, during which they will source ingredients unique to each county and go on to cook the local signature dish. At each stop the bikers will also have a “cook off” with a well known local restaurateur, in which they compete to create a new dish from the county’s produce.[Read more]
